Initial Expectations: I’ve been impressed with most of Private’s Pirate line. Seeing that this title has a few scenes nominated for the AVN awards this year has me looking forward to this one even more.
Initial Reaction: It’s not Tanya Hyde, but it’s damn near as good!
Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting something different and on the dark but fun side
Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks guys like Antonio Passolini over at VCA push things too far.
Audio /Video Quality: The audio is dubbed in a few places, but most of them appear to be in the non-sex portions of the movie. It’s all very clear, as well as very well balanced. The video has a slightly grainy feel, and looks as if it were shot on film and treated right. Kovi played with visual effects a bit here and there, but it all seemed to work well and fit in great with things.
Music: The music has a wide range of styles, and doesn’t always appear in the sex scenes. It works well to enhance the overall movie since when it’s there it’s loud enough to be noticed, and you notice when it’s not there as well. When it disappears I felt myself drawn into the sex sounds a bit more, which helped out the sex scenes.
The Feature: When Brad (Csoky Ice) and Janet’s (Michelle Wild) car breaks down in the middle of nowhere on a stormy night, the only choice they appear to have is to go back to a spooky castle for help. Unbeknownst to them, the castle is occupied by the time and space traveling Dr. Fuck-n-furter (Steve Holmes) and his assistants. Steve’s job is to release people’s sexual dreams and desires, which opens up a whole new world for Csoky and Michelle.
Steve Holmes starts things out with Lisa Sparkle and Sandra Iron, all of whom are in stockings and garter belts, in a blacklight lit scene. Steve and Sandra do some funky tongue waggling before Steve drops down to lick her from behind. The girls take turns sucking Steve, as well as teaming up on him, before Lisa settles back to fuck herself with a studded dildo while watching the others fuck. The girls trade off so Lisa can get her ass fucked before she sucks Steve to a pop in her Sandra’s mouth. It’s a pretty hot scene with nice energy. The blacklight thing gives the scene a very different feel, but at the same time makes it difficult to watch at times since you can’t make things out clearly.

It’s an extremely hot scene and a great climax to the movie. The two guys and two girls have great chemistry together and keep everything flowing extremely well.
Funky Fetish Horror Show is a great deviation from the standard porno. It does a good job of stealing a little style and a few ideas from The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and blends in some great sex scenes with excellent fetish twists. Steve Holmes does a great job of leading the cast, and plays the Doctor so well that I had a smile on my face every time he took the screen. Michelle Wild does a great job of leading the female cast, but all the women do such a great job that it’s hard to single out any one performance here. My biggest complaint about the feature, outside of the camera mugging that permeates all of Private’s features, is the sets. They’re nicely elaborate and help give the feature a very unique feel, which is a great thing. Unfortunately, they also get in the way of the shots in almost every scene and obscured some of the action I really wanted to see! Although this did annoy me a bit, I still found myself amazed at almost every scene. Each one has a unique feel, great chemistry, and performers who all look to be having a great time. It doesn’t have the uniqueness of Tanya Hyde’s Pirate movies, but it isn’t too far off. Funky Fetish Horror Show is a great fetish fuck flick that’s going to have me paying attention to this series!

Overall: Currently, most of Private’s Fetish Machine titles can be found online for between $17 and $30 with most stores offering them for about $20. This is a very fair price for what you get here.
